City Colleges of Chicago
Supports Evacuees from Puerto Rico

City Colleges of Chicago continues to welcome our fellow Americans who are seeking to further their education after being displaced following Hurricane Maria, and has put in place the following supports:

Admissions/Transcripts

CCC is an open access institution, which accepts all students who apply.  We will work with impacted students to determine course placement and transfer credit.

Tuition

CCC allows impacted individuals to take advantage of in-district tuition rates by using their Puerto Rico IDs, waiving the usual 6-month residency requirement, with evidence of immediate prior residency in a storm-impacted area.

Financial Aid

CCC assists students in transferring their federal financial aid to CCC. CCC follows federal financial aid guidelines regarding students impacted.

Scholarships

Students are eligible for internal and external scholarship funds, as available, and advisors will assist students in ensuring that they can meet their financial responsibility.

CCC’s Disaster Relief Scholarship
for those displaced as a result of hurricanes Maria, Harvey, and Irene

This scholarship pays for the tuition and books of eligible students who are pursuing an advanced certificate or associate degree at CCC.
