How do I improve my computer’s response time?


There a several different factors that be slowing Brightspace down.

  • Turn off applications that may use bandwidth or server resources.
  • Update OS regularly but not during the time you are working online.
  • Update web browsers regularly
  • If you have installed web browser plugins, you may need to toggle them on/off.
  • Run virus protection, make sure those applications are not running while you are working.

Run a system check

  1. Switch browsers.
  2. Try going ‘incognito’.
  3. Refresh your cache.
  4. Check your connection: wifi vs land line
  5. Email Please include
    • Browser name & version
    • Type of computer & connection
    • Date, Time, and Location
    • What were you trying to do?
