How do I caption a Zoom meeting?

Zoom has capabilities for both automated and live captioning during a meeting.

Before the Meeting

To enable live closed captioning in your Zoom account:

  1. Log into Zoom
  2. From the left menu, choose My Meeting Settings.
  3. In the “In Meeting (Advanced)” section, on the right, click Edit.
  4. Enable either Manual or Automated captions; then click Save Changes.

During the Meeting

  1. In the meeting controls tool bar, click Show Captions
  2. From there you can select automated captions, or select a participant to manually enter captions.
